The successful applicant will join the Inventory Division, responsible for delivery of our spatial suite of products to a range of transportation infrastructure clients. The applicant will need to ensure geospatial content is delivered to clients on time and to a consistent high standard. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be a strong team player. Considerable time spent working with geospatial teams should be expected and mentoring will make up a key component of the role.
Key skill sets required include:
- Spatial and relational ETL skills within SQL Server, Postgres and PostGIS
- Expert level knowledge of Safe Software FME Desktop and Cloud
- Advanced knowledge of Point Cloud processing and manipulation
- Familiarity with GDAL
The following additional skills would be beneficial:
- A demonstrable interest in Infrastructure specifically transportation
- Developing on Open Layers 3
- Familiarity with the ESRI Software suite, ArcMap
- Working knowledge of Java (JEE and JSE)
- Good understanding OGC specifications and concepts (WMS, WFS, WCS, WPS)
Responsibilities will include:
- ETL of Spatial Vector and Raster datasets for web publication
- Automation of spatial dataset loading and cleaning
- Ensuring content remains at a consistently high quality
- Working on innovative new technical delivery solutions
- Work with internal teams to improve content generation workflows
- Actively investigating new technologies and testing new technical solutions
