Summary
PILLAR, Inc. is looking for a dedicated and dependable person with integrity to fill the VDOT Salem Customer Service Rep 1 position.
Compensation
Position is considered full-time and pay will be between $20 and $22 per hour with hours worked over 40 in a week considered overtime and paid at time and half.

Responsibilities
- Experience working in a call center and on Verizon Virtual Contact Center system is preferred, but not required.
- Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and be able to use a computer and type efficiently.
- Candidate must possess good communication skills and have some sort of customer service experience.
- Consistent attendance and the ability to work independently is a must.
- Shifts will be assigned to enable work-life balance and during inclement weather, staff are expected to work overtime if assigned.
- The shift looking to be filled is 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.
- Shifts can be changed based on business need with a goal of trying to be as consistent as possible.
- Schedule for the coming month is released at least two weeks in advance of the first of the month.
- Holiday work is expected and scheduled. For major holidays, shorter shifts of 6 hours are scheduled and divided amongst the staff to ensure candidates still have time with their families.
- The necessary equipment will be provided.
- Teleworking is a possibility if the candidate meets performance goals, has high-speed internet, a quiet environment, and only after the initial eight weeks of on-site training are completed.
- If a candidate is working from home and loses internet, they must report to the Traffic Operations Center building in Salem, VA to work the remainder of their shift.
- Candidate is required to attend, in person, the one-day on-site mandatory monthly staff meeting.
- The candidate is expected to meet a handle time goal of 5 minutes and 30 seconds or less on a monthly basis and receive a rating of meets expectations or above on their monthly quality assurance call reviews.
- The candidate must have a phone where the management team can reach them if they need to be called to report to work for emergency overtime.
